The Baby story strand continues at Level K/19 when Baby the dog meets up with Fluffy & Charlie in Charlie's Adventures in Babysitting. Three nonfiction books at this level (Guess the Mystery Animal Books Eight & Nine, The Life Cycle of a Goose) contain the same format, giving the reader a structure that scaffolds the introduction of new vocabulary and language structures. In Spider Monkey, the reader has the opportunity to observe a day in the life of a monkey, including how he escapes a predator!
